Heart of the Lord Ministries exists to share with the world the love of God, which is manifest in the cross of Christ. When Jesus hung on the cross, He suffered far more that our eyes could have beheld. Beyond the physical pain He endured, Jesus bore the very wrath of God for us. He bore the penalties for our world that has gone astray in rebellion toward God and His ways. God, manifest in Jesus Christ, took upon Himself the guilt of humanity.
Isaiah 53:5 states that “the punishment for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed.” God demonstrated His love for us, not only in suffering in our place, but in bearing our just judgment. Is it any wonder that now He is in a position to love us freely?

What amazing love this is, that God would come in the flesh in the form of Jesus and take our faults on Himself! And all He asks is that we receive Him with a sincere heart in faith. As it is written in John 1:12, “to those who received Him, He gave the power to become children of God.”
Let us who have come to Him find rest in that sweet love. Let us draw near into the very Holy of Holies of God’s presence and find His gentle but secure touch of grace and mercy.
Titus 3:4 tells us: “But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior…”

It is our calling and hope at Heart of the Lord Ministries in sharing this love of God—through word, video, music and various other formats—that the saints may be encouraged and find rest in the secure and unconditional love of Christ in their lives. And in so doing, may we shine this true light automatically into the darkness around us—bearing fruit while abiding in the True Vine, Christ Jesus Himself.
May you rest in the love that bore your penalties. This is the perfect love that casts out fear to all who say “Yes” to Him.
